The Ministry of Social Affairs, represented at the rehabilitation center of the female section, organizes the annual forum of the World Autism Awareness Day last week in the presence of HRH Princess Samira bint Abdullah Al-Faisal Al-Saud Al-Farhan, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the society for Autism, Director-General for the supervision of women in Riyadh Mrs. Samha Al-Ghamdi, and many academics and interested and mothers with autism where the forum was held at the Hall of Al-Shomou in Riyadh.
The ceremony started with the Quran and then Director General for the supervision of women in Riyadh Mrs. Samha Al-Ghamdi. After that, the Princess Samira Faisal Bint Abdullah Al-Farhan Al-Saud Word started with sincere condolences and sympathy to the custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Royal family and the Saudi people in the death of the deceased the homeland of his Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Abdulaziz , and then provided a brief explanation about the role of the Assembly and its services for people with disabilities and their families, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts between the Assembly and the relevant authorities.
The concert included several parts that simulate real families with autism and answering questions through an awareness lecture about autism.
At the end of the ceremony, General Director of women in Riyadh Mrs. Samha Al-Ghamdi and supervisor of autism unit Mrs. Huda Al-Haidar gave the trophies and certificates to the participants of the ceremony and the sponsor, then invited the attendance to come to the dinner prepared on this occasion.
